7th European Communication Conference

Our team was present at the ECREA 2018 in Lugano.

Koen Leurs (chair of the Diaspora, Migration and the Media section, DMM) presented on “Connected migrants and digital migration studies in Europe”

Melis Mevsimler (Young scholar representative of the DMM section) presented on: “Divided nation, divided diaspora: Crossroads of gender and homeland politics in everyday lives of migrant women from Turkey in London”.

Claudia Minchilli presented on: “Being Afro-Italian and Somali: Digital connectedness and shades of diasporic identity and belongings among women of Somali background in postcolonial Italy”.
